The European Court of Human Rights disregarding the human rights of more than half of the population. It's impressive in its sheer arrogance.

Thank you for this clear exposition of the myriad internal contradictions of gender ideology. And for pointing out that the ECtHR couldn’t afford to mention the conflict between self ID and women’s rights. Because that would be tantamount to admitting they were requiring women to admit any and every male who professed to be “trans”, whether they were or not, into women’s protected spaces. Much easier just to ignore women’s rights completely.

Or to take it one step further, we really are just a tribe of story telling apes. Thanks to science, medicine, prosperity and safety, there is an increasingly long period between birth and and death of running around looking for trouble and attention . Or as WS timelessly put it "Life's a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing". I find those words comforting rather than depressing...But thanks for another brilliant article

"We surely cannot be this stupid."

With respect, I think 'we' can. At least, many people can...

Perhaps The Age of Reason is over. Perhaps we are careering headlong into some abyssal new Dark Age. Well, I'm not being dragged along - and neither are good people like yourself and your readers and commenters, I am sure. People who can read and listen and think - and above all, think critically. People who can look at evidence and make judgments based on that evidence and come to a sober, thoughtful position despite being aggressively shouted and spat at by raving, seething activists.

There seems to me to be a general rejection of reason and science in large swathes of the populace. There must be, otherwise we wouldn't see 'adults' thinking and acting in such a bizarrely illogical and dangerously unhealthy manner. And to see this nonsense encouraged, promoted and sold to people who do not know any better by people who SHOULD know better, is insane and criminal.

I have never seen anything like this. It is irrational, medieval-type thinking.

I hate it. I hate it all with a passion. And it needs to burn.

Re: your last paragraph, yep, sometimes I start to think like that too. How in the world did we get here?

Thanks for a brilliant write-up. I'd be so interested in seeing you analyse the dissenting opinions from the Skrmetti ruling in the US, as they offer a real glimpse into how intelligent minds can become utterly captured by this madness. It should have been a 9-0 slam dunk...

I am building up the courage to do so! I think all the madness is familiar, what’s horrifying is that these are Supreme Court judges…

It really is staggeringly arrogant for you to label everyone (including women) who disagrees with you as “anti-women”.

Anyone who disagrees that women have rights is by definition ‘anti women’.
