Thanks for the explanation and the detailed information.
Eventbrite should of course be renamed something along the lines of, 'Have Our Cake and Eat It Too Events'.
It was - and still is - remarkable when EB pulled the original event from their hallowed, righteously-pure pages way back in November - immediately after the 80 tickets had sold out if I recall - to see the other events that they were advertising at that very same time and in the following weeks. Essentially, many pro-trans, pro-TQ ideology events, online and 'virtual', both free and paid, were advertised with complete immunity from complaint of fear of forced withdrawal by EB themselves.
I wonder why that could be?
Two reasons - one is that people such as Sarah, myself and most others would not wish to close down other events whether we fundamentally disagreed with the morality or ethics of said event or not. (unless there were genuine safeguarding issues of course).
And two, EB are thoroughly and completely in the thrall of gender identity ideology...
Both of these could well be simultaneously true of course...
Ever since we arranged to interview you for LVW we changed from Eventbrite to tickettailor in sympathy and haven’t had any glitches with our new provider. I can’t see us going back to EB; I do hope you prevail!
Eventbrite.com has lied again. Absolute the worst. We need to fix this company. Please email me if anyone like to petition a defense Matt_lukas01@yahoo.com
Well done Sarah 👏 👏 and keep up the fight ❤️
I have had only the most odious experiences with Eventbrite. Their data policies are as appalling as their other ethics.
Thanks for the update Sarah, much appreciated. I think your plan for book 2 is a good one, it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
