to allow magical thinking to guide the legal profession, or any other profession, is to degrade it and bring it into total disrepute.

You have taken a courageous and principled position, Sarah, and I hope your regulatory body can do the same and back you up. Best wishes for a positive review for you the silencing of mischievous Molly

'Mischievous Molly' suggests the man is harmless, playful fun. He isn't. Sophie Sparkles is a damn nuisance and a menace. Sparkles insults all women on a daily basis. He mocks our bodies, our way of dressing, our bodily functions and so on. As a human he is vile and beyond contempt. I blocked him a long time ago, and I believe everyone should do the same and stop giving this misogynistic creature any attention or coverage

Yes, thank you Freya. Trivialising the man’s name does no service to women. A more apt name for him would be Malevolent Molly.

I consider that you would bring the barristers’ profession into disrepute if you asserted that Molly and his ilk are what they manifestly are not. How can anyone take seriously a barrister who denies fundamental reality? I certainly could not instruct such a barrister as my confidence in his or abilities would be wholly undermined.

So exasperating. Needless to say, I and reasoning members of the public are overwhelmingly behind you, Sarah.

Keep going Sarah. I think the tide is gradually turning but there are still lots of organisations which have yet to see sense.

Well you fared rather better than I did. Back in the first heady days of Musk saying “nobody will be banned for posting the truth”, I posted “Trans Women are Men” and I have been banned ever since.

What a strange and undecipherable world we live in Sarah. I used to think humanity was slowly becoming more secular, more objective, more evidence-based, and slowly dragging itself away from the plethora of medieval magical ideologies, but I'm not sure anymore. And transgenderism is like the never-saw-coming zombie offspring of a deceased medieval ideology. A recent job application asked me if my 'gender identity' matched my 'sex assigned at birth'! Balls to that!!

Yes. I thought we would continue an upwards trajectory. Instead we are hurtling back to medievalism and hatred of rationality. All very odd.

The internet is the culprit I think. A culprit like no other in history. It makes those inclined to stupidity even more stupud. It affirms the thoughts of people for whom thinking is just a feeling. It can persuade like a hypnotist salesman. It is an endless sweet shop for adults who think they are not still children. It makes us all 'online researchers'! But here we are. On the internet.

Yes - but it also allows access to a very rich depository of knowledge. Curse and a blessing.

Your unsolicited ‘comment’ on the photo was the virtual equivalent of “following her about in real life shrieking ‘you are a MAN!’”. It wasn’t contributing to any sort of debate. It was posted for the sole purpose of being hurtful and provocative.

I think the word is “crybully”: someone who deliberately tries to upset other people and then acts like the victim when those other people get upset and react.

Don’t be silly. It was publicly posted and came up in my feed. I found it a profoundly offensive depiction of womanhood. By a man. I am allowed to say this and I do. Sophie Molly is a man. You can’t change sex. This is part of a very important discussion about women’s rights and children’s safety.
